Description:
The race starts at Crissy Field, continues into the historic Presidio, and over the Golden Gate Bridge. As a token of our appreciation, Packet Pick-up volunteers will receive a complimentary entry to the 2026 Presidio Half Marathon, 10k, or 5k, along with a volunteer t-shirt and refreshments. Race day volunteers will receive a free entry to the 2027 Presidio Half Marathon, 10K or 5K, along with a volunteer t-shirt and pancake breakfast.

Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

LIABILITY WAIVER & RELEASE

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING carefully before signing this liability waiver. On behalf of myself and any volunteers that I bring to the event, including any minors (“Attendees”), to The Presidio Half Marathon (“The Event”), I acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of this liability waiver and assumption of risk as identified below:

1. Attendees who will participate in any activities provided at The Event are physically, mentally and emotionally fit to participate in such activities;

2. I understand that The Guardsmen does not provide an attendant and is not responsible for Attendees’ actions or injuries while at The Event.

3. I understand and will comply with any and all safety guidelines, regulations, and requirements at all times during The Event.

4. I understand that if I bring individuals under the age of eighteen, I am assuming responsibility for them.

Liability Waiver, Release, and Indemnification: I understand and acknowledge that this Liability Waiver and Release discharges The Guardsmen, its members, agents, event organizers, officers and directors, and employees from all claims, damages, losses, injuries and expenses arising from attendance of The Event. I certify that I will conduct myself with the utmost care and diligence when volunteering at the Event. Attendees do hereby acknowledge that they agree to release, indemnify, forever discharge and hold harmless The Guardsmen, its members, agents, event organizers, officers and directors, and employees and assigns from any and all liability claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from Attendees’ attendance of The Event.

Assumption of the Risk: There are risks, both known and unknown, attending the Event, including, but not limited to physical injury, emotional injury, distress, paralysis and even death. Attendees understand and acknowledge that this release discharges The Guardsmen, its members, agents, officers and directors, and employees from injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from attendance at the Event.

Insurance: I understand that insurance for liability, health, and medical or disability coverage in any way related to the Attendees’ attendance of The Event and/or the Equipment under this agreement is the sole responsibility of Attendees.

Other: I expressly agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by federal and state law. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this release which shall continue to be enforceable.

I HAVE READ THIS LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS FOR MYSELF AND THOSE FOR WHOM I HAVE ASSUMED RESPONSIBILITY. BY MY SIGNATURE, I FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO THESE TERMS.
